Is the Cozy Game Restoration demo still available?
Steam record unavailable
No. On 7 November 2026 the Steam record for the demo (app 4742270) did not return a product page. That is one Steam record indicating that the demo is not currently listed there. The full game is the $14.99 Steam release.
What the demo was
Parasol Corp ran a playtest that slipped a week because a submission missed files, then opened on 8 May 2026 for ten days with eight games to clean. Steam Next Fest followed in June. The developer wrote 146,000 downloads, 113,000 people who played, and 57,000 sessions, and a 24th-place finish. A press note from the same period says 171,679 downloads. I print both. The sources do not explain the discrepancy, so neither figure is treated as a reconciled total.
The Next Fest demo came down on 27 June 2026, when the wishlist count the developer cited was 280,000. A final demo went up on 1 October 2026: three in-game days and seven games, for Windows, macOS, Steam Deck, and Linux through Proton. Playlogs wrote “two days.” I use the developer’s three days and seven games.
Why old “download the demo” answers are stale
Some search summaries still say the demo can be downloaded. That matched October, not 7 November. The full game unlocked on 5 November 2026 at 00:00 UTC. After launch, the demo listing stopped resolving. A playtest signup of 149,745 people is a May figure from the developer, not a live queue.
If you want to try the cleaning loop now, the path is the paid Steam build. There is no second official demo host on the studio site.
Questions
Can I still install the October demo?
Not from Steam. On 7 Nov 2026 app 4742270 did not return a store product. I have no official archive link.
How long was the final demo?
The developer said three days and seven games. One news post said two days. I keep the developer’s count.
Did the demo include every tool?
The final demo was described as the full toolset on a short slice of the collection, not the 108-game shelf.
Is the playtest the same as the demo?
No. The May playtest was ten days and eight games. Next Fest was June. The October build was the final demo.
