Privacy policy

This policy matches the site as it ships on 7 November 2026. The operator of cozygamerestoration.org is the contact for it: [email protected]. Three third parties load by default — Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra — and the banner lets you turn all three off.

What loads on a first visit

The pages are HTML, CSS and a small script hosted on this domain. Fonts and images are files we ship ourselves. There is no blocking third-party script tag in the first response: our own loader creates the three vendor requests at runtime. These requests still use network and browser resources.

On a first visit, before you touch the banner, the page loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-CG5WEPK5Z6), Microsoft Clarity (project z9ru2bfoku) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6181718). That is the default-on rule this site follows: no stored choice means granted. The banner is a notice with a withdrawal, not a gate. Choose Reject and the page writes a denied record for 180 days and reloads to end the running measurement, replay and ad contexts. The replacement page and later pages do not load them. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is treated as Reject without waiting for a click.

Google Analytics 4

GA4 is Google LLC's measurement service. It receives the page address, a browser client identifier, approximate location derived from the request, device and browser details, and interaction events such as scrolls and outbound clicks. It sets the cookies _ga (two years) and _ga_<container> (two years). Google controls service retention; the duration depends on the property settings and data category. We have not confirmed the current property retention setting. Measurement starts by default; the banner records an acceptance or withdrawal choice. Reject sets ga-disable-G-CG5WEPK5Z6 and sends a consent update, so later hits are not sent. Google's opt-out add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity is Microsoft Corporation's session-replay and heat-map service. It records clicks, scrolls, taps, page rendering and, where the page allows it, mouse movement, together with the page address and a device/browser profile. It uses the default masking rules, so text typed into form fields is masked; this site has no account or checkout form. Clarity sets _clck (one year) and _clsk (one day), and may set CLID, ANONCHK, MR and SM. Recordings are kept for 30 days by default; aggregated heat maps are kept longer. Session replay starts by default; choose Reject to withdraw and end the running page context. Reject reloads the document after recording your choice, ending the running Clarity context and preventing the next tag request. Microsoft's privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Adsterra advertising

We serve display advertising through Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6181718): a native banner inside the article flow (unit 32136803) and a fixed Social Bar at the bottom of the viewport (unit 32136804). The ad scripts load from bicea.org and creatives come from Adsterra's rotating CDNs. Adsterra and its partners may set cookies and similar identifiers on their own domains, including frequency-capping, fraud-prevention and attribution identifiers, to choose a creative, cap how often you see it, and measure clicks. We do not receive or store those identifiers; Adsterra's retention schedule applies. The publisher configuration keeps adult ads disabled. Advertising starts by default and funds the guide; choose Reject to stop subsequent ad loading. Reject ends the current document and prevents both units from loading on the replacement document. Opt out of personalised advertising through Google ad settings, DAA or NAI; these are industry tools, not operated by this site.

YouTube trailer

The trailer is a click-to-play facade: the page shows a still image we host ourselves until you press Watch trailer. That press creates a player from www.youtube-nocookie.com, and Google then receives the player request, your IP address and the usual player telemetry; the no-cookie host limits Google cookies before playback, and playback can still set them. If you never press the button, no YouTube request is made. Legal basis: your action in requesting the video. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Storage on your browser

The site itself sets no cookie. We use two localStorage keys:

  • cgr_consent — {"choice":"granted"|"denied","exp":<timestamp>}, written when you choose or when the default-on record is created, and expiring after 180 days. Reject writes denied; Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so you can change it.
  • cgr_adbar_hidden — "1" after you close the Adsterra Social Bar, so the bar stays closed on later pages and visits. Delete it, or clear site data, to bring the bar back.

Both keys are readable only by this origin. We never receive a copy. Delete them by clearing site data for this origin, or ask us and clear them yourself. Legal basis for the consent key: your choice, stored so we do not ask on every page. Withdrawing does not delete identifiers a third party already set on its own domain; use that vendor's controls for those.

Your requests, and changes

Email [email protected] to ask what this policy covers, to request a correction, or to raise a complaint. You can also contact a data-protection authority where you live. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond what the ad units above describe. Contact messages are used to handle your request and are retained for up to 24 months, unless a continuing request or legal obligation requires longer. Server logs may exist at the host that delivers the files; retention there is the host's.

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not ask for an account. If this policy changes, the date on this page changes with it and the text says what was added. A new third-party script is named here before it ships.

Questions

Do you use Google Analytics?

Yes. GA4 measurement ID G-CG5WEPK5Z6 loads by default; Reject turns it off and writes ga-disable-G-CG5WEPK5Z6.

What is cgr_consent?

The 180-day localStorage record of your choice: granted or denied. Reject stores denied and unloads GA4, Clarity and Adsterra.

Does the trailer load by itself?

No. The player is created when you press Watch trailer; the still image before that is hosted here.

How do I close the bottom ad bar?

Press Close ad on the bar. The choice is stored in cgr_adbar_hidden so the bar does not return on reload.
